Yago has agreed to renew his contract with the club and will continue to defend the Mantle of the Nation's Pride. The point guard joins Brandon Robinson, Dar Tucker, Faverani, Franco Balbi, JP Batista, Luke Martinez, Olivinha, Rafael Mineiro, and Rafael Rachel, all under the guidance of coach Gustavo De Conti.

People, the Little Monster will continue!" the athlete celebrated.
One of the leading names in the new generation of Brazilian basketball, Yago Mateus has been called up to the Brazilian National Team, where he was champion and MVP of the South American Under-21 Championship. With Flamengo, the young point guard has won a Campeonato Carioca, a Super 8, a Champions League, and an NBB, being the MVP of the finals in the latter.
Having played for Palmeiras and Paulistano, the star player from the interior of São Paulo began his career in Rio de Janeiro, with Jequiá, a club on Ilha do Governador. Now, at the club from Gávea, the nation's favorite faces the defense of the titles won last season and the FIBA Club World Cup, the Intercontinental Cup, in February 2022.
