Flamengo is the two-time basketball world champion! With excellent performances in the semifinals and final, the red-and-black team won, convinced and made history in Egypt! Facing San Pablo Burgos, from Spain, on Sunday afternoon (13), the Pride of the Nation won 75 to 62 and took another trophy to Gávea.

The third quarter was the most evenly balanced of the periods, ending with 20 points for each team. 

Even with the Spanish team's attempted comeback, Mengão was already in control of the match. With a very consistent and focused performance, FlaBasquete managed to maintain a comfortable lead until the final whistle.

And the Intercontinental Cup went to Gávea to crown a perfect season. The only survivor of that triumph, Olivinha, lifted the trophy today as FlaBasquete captain.
