The sixth man is ours! After a great debut season with Orgulho da Nação, Leo Demetrio renewed his contract and will continue playing for FlaBasquete. Averaging 10,4 points and 4,7 rebounds, the power forward was instrumental in the team's sole lead in the NBB and an unprecedented qualification for the Champions League final. 

"I was very happy to renew my contract at Flamengo. Wearing the red-and-black jersey once again is incredible. My first year at the club was very positive," said the player. "Several factors influenced the renewal: my teammates, the coaching staff, the fans, and the club's successful project." 

Leo Demetrio arrived at the Mais Querido in July 2019, after stints with several teams in Spain and Italy, including Bilbao Basket. In his first season back in the country, he was named the best sixth man in the NBB wearing the red-and-black jersey. With his contract signed until 2021, the 2,08'XNUMX" power forward spoke about the individual award and what he expects for the coming year.

"I'm very happy to have my work recognized here in Brazil. This achievement motivates me even more to continue pursuing my goals," Leo said.
