The game
Gui Deodato made his mark in the opening minutes of the match, hitting two three-pointers. Vastly superior and demonstrating the strength of their collective play, the Rubro-Negro closed the first quarter with a crushing 32-12 lead. In the second period, the Municipal team attempted a comeback, and the score was more even—26-18—but nothing that threatened the Mais Querido's victory.
In the third quarter, the opponent briefly took the lead, but Flamengo held on, relying on the sharp aim of Hungarian center Marko Filipovity, signed for this season. The final period proved to be a decisive moment for the victory and the title. Gustavo De Conti's men comfortably closed out the scoring at 115-58.
