The Mais Querido's first game in the 2013/2014 season of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) wasn't just another victory in Olivinha's career. In the match against Brasília last Saturday (November 09.11), the power forward surpassed the 3-point mark in all NBB editions combined. In the fourth quarter, Olivinha had already scored 14 of the 15 points he needed to reach the goal when he hit a three-pointer. 

The athlete was very pleased with his score and hopes to collect more moments and achievements with Rubro-Negro.

 

"I feel very flattered. This is a job well done, another milestone reached, I'm very happy. Now it's time to keep working so that more milestones can be reached and so that I can help Flamengo even more," he declared, at the HSBC Arena, the site of the 3000th point.

The power forward's 3.002 points were scored playing for Pinheiros and, starting last year, for Flamengo.

Olivinha is the sixth athlete in the history of the competition to reach this mark, after Marcelinho Machado (3621), Shammel (3228), Alex Garcia (3145), Murilo Becker (3041) and Marquinhos (3012).
