Flamengo embarked on Monday morning (13) for São Paulo where they will make their debut in the New Basketball Brazil (NBB) against Paulistano. The red-blacks enter the court this Tuesday (14), at 19:30 pm (Brasília time) at the opponent's home. Debuting for Mais Querido in the competition, point guard Arthur Pecos talks about his expectations for the NBB10.
"We're coming in strong to take advantage of this NBB season and the opportunity to show the power of our team. Expectations are high, it couldn't be any different. We've had a start to the season with a lot of games to get the team in shape, so I'm sure it will be very positive for Flamengo. The fans can be sure that we'll do everything we can to bring home another trophy," adds the number 23 of José Neto's team.
Contrary to his role as a newcomer for Orgulho da Nação, the idol of the Nation Olivinha also spoke about the next few months of FlaBasquete.
"It's going to be a new season for the team. We have some reinforcements who arrived recently and we've gone through a technical overhaul, so I think the team is very motivated. We're working hard every day and the fans can be sure that we're going to fight for titles, as we didn't manage to do so last season and we are
hungry for victory in this NBB", concludes the number 16.
