The world champion basketball team visited the headquarters of one of its sponsors, the telephone company TIM, on Tuesday (April 14.04). In a very fun afternoon, the Pride of the Nation took photos, signed autographs, and met with the company in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Also in attendance were the Executive Director of Olympic Sports, Marcelo Vido, the Marketing Director, Bruno Spindel, the General Director, Fred Luz, and President Eduardo Bandeira de Mello.
Welcomed by the company's CMO, Roger Solé, Communications Director, Livia Marquez, and Institutional Manager, Fernanda Cozac, the players and coaching staff shared a bit of the team's history of victories, welcoming everyone with great warmth. Additionally, Pride of the Nation presented TIM directors with two jerseys autographed by the players and three balls used during the Liga das Américas, which will be raffled internally, with the proceeds donated to charity.
"Everyone really enjoyed it. There's always some joking around, since there are a lot of Flamengo fans, but there are also fans of other teams (laughs). But, in the end, the goal of strengthening our relationship was achieved. It's gratifying for both them and us, to go there and express our gratitude. Those of us who live sports in Brazil know how difficult it is to find companies that invest in sports, and TIM has been with us for some time. We hope it continues like this for a long time," said Marcelinho Machado.
In some rooms, the Flamengo team was welcomed to the sound of the Flamengo anthem. In others, several fans wore or brought jerseys to be autographed by the athletes. In another stall, Pride of the Nation players were even invited to participate in a video conference. The afternoon undoubtedly served to further cement the partnership between Flamengo and TIM.
