To maintain its unbeaten record, Flamengo faces Botafogo
Teams have already faced each other in the Carioca debut; Mais Querido came out on top
By Mariana Sa - inAnother challenge and alongside the Nation. This Tuesday (28), Flamengo faces Botafogo, at 20 pm, at Tijuca Tênis Clube in another round of the State Basketball Championship. The clash will be the second between the teams in Carioca.
Rubro-Negro has three wins in three games in the competition. In the debut, they defeated Botafogo 67-57. Then, they defeated Niterói 100-36 and Vasco 93-69.

Botafogo is coming off a positive result against Niterói, winning 75-42. In the previous match, the team beat Vasco away from home 82-74, in addition to losing to Fla in the debut.
Since returning to basketball in 2016, Botafogo has never beaten Flamengo. They've played five matches, and the Flamengo have won five.

"The championship changes with each game and the teams are improving. We can certainly expect a tougher match than the opening game, so we need to be very focused and determined to come out with the victory," said the point guard.
Dispute format
The tournament will be played in two-legged matches, with all teams facing each other at home and away. The semifinals will then be a best-of-three series, with the first-place team facing the fourth-place team and the second-place team facing the third-place team. The final begins on September 25th and will also be played over a maximum of three matches.
