In the 8th round of the NBB, FlaBasquete faces Minas at Maracanãzinho
Fans who bring 1kg of non-perishable food will also be entitled to half-price tickets.
By Helena Petry - inBack to Maracanãzinho! After two matches in São Paulo, FlaBasquete returns to play for the Nation at home. On Saturday (20), at 16:10 pm, Rubro-Negro faces Minas in the 8th round of the NBB. Tickets are already on sale at flamengo.superingresso.com.br and will also be sold on the day of the match, at ticket office 2 of the Maracanã. Fan members pay only R$15 and, in addition to those benefiting by law, anyone who brings 1kg of non-perishable food to the gym will be entitled to half-price tickets, for R$20 (full price R$40).
The reigning NBB champion and seeking its eighth title, Flamengo is third overall in the competition with six wins in seven matches. Minas Gerais, with six wins in six matches, is in second place. In the tournament's history, the record is favorable for FlaBasquete: Mengão has 25 wins in 29 games.
Returning to the Mais Querido after three years, JP Batista played for the Minas Gerais team last season. The center assessed the challenge the Red-Blacks face.
"We expect it to be a very tough game. I played there last year, and we know they have a completely revamped team this year, with a lot of hustle and bustle. We're coming off a loss to Paulistano and had to bring out our best this week of training. We expect to play a great game, respond on the court, and get a positive result," said the number 13.
This will be the final match of the competition before the break for the World Cup Qualifying window. In addition to coach Gustavo De Conti, point guard Yago and center Rafael Mineiro will play two matches in Argentina against Chile for the Brazilian national team on November 26th and 27th. The NBB returns to the Mais Querido on December 2nd, in a match against Rio Claro, again at Maracanãzinho.
