Pilar arrives at Mais Querido and learns a little more about the red-black history

FlaBasquete's new reinforcement also spoke about the choice of the number 5 jersey

FlaBasquete's new signing, Henrique Pilar, has already introduced himself to Mais Querido. In his first moments at Gávea, the power forward took the opportunity to learn a little more about Flamengo's history on a tour of Fla Memória. At the Flamengo museum, the new number 5 spoke about choosing the iconic number and the match against the Pride of the Nation in the year of the World Cup title.

Pilar began by talking about the match against the historic Flamengo team.

"They were a great team. I had the pleasure of playing in a final against them at Arena da Barra and almost won the title. Today, fortunately, the trophy is here at Fla Memória. I know all the players from that time, but the one I spent the most time with was Marquinhos, who is the same age as me. We always played against him, and he's a great friend who I now have the pleasure of playing alongside," he said.

The player finished by talking about the choice of number 5, immortalized by Maestro Júnior.

"It's really cool for me to be wearing the number 5 jersey, which is the same as Júnior's. It happened by chance, but I identify with it a lot and I'm happy to have the honor of wearing this jersey here at Rubro-Negro," concluded Pilar.

The basketball teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo receive funding from their sponsors – Estácio, AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR) and the State Incentive Law/Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat of Sports, Recreation, and Youth (Seelje), in addition to support from the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources generated by the Pelé Law. The Anjo da Guarda Rubro-Negro Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the Most Beloved.
