Needing to win, FlaBasquete faces Franca at Maracanãzinho this Saturday (04)
Gustavo De Conti and Olivinha discuss the team's situation in the NBB's decisive series
By Helena Petry - inOnly victory matters. FlaBasquete takes to the court this Saturday (04) to survive in the final stage of the NBB. With the adverse score of 2 to 0 for Franca, the Mais Querido needs to win to stay alive in the search for the eighth championship. The ball goes up at 16:10 pm, at Maracanãzinho, in the Rubro-Negro's last home match of the season. If they happen, games 4 and 5 of the series will be held in the city of the interior of São Paulo on June 9 and 11. Tickets for tomorrow's match are on sale at flamengo.superingresso.com.br, from 20 reais.

Flamengo suffered defeat in the first match, in Franca, last Saturday (28), by 85 to 79. On Thursday night (02), they were defeated by 64 to 62. After the duel, coach Gustavo De Conti spoke about the team's situation.
"Flamengo and Franca have a game scheduled for Saturday, and that means someone still needs to win the match. Flamengo to win one, and Franca to win three. We need to step back and look at what's happening: it's 2-0 to Franca, okay? We have one game to win here, two to win there. We have to win these three games, but they also have to win one. When you step back, Franca won by six points there and two points here; that's the difference we're seeing in the series. When you look at the 2-0, it seems stratospheric, but it's not. We need to fix it. Today, we were two points worse; on Saturday, we need to be one point better," said the coach.
Captain Olivinha also spoke about the setback and the situation of the team, which returns to training this Friday afternoon (03) at Maracanãzinho.
"We still have to keep our heads up. Of course, we're in a big hole, but we can still get out of it. Franca still needs to beat us one more time," said the God of Race. "We know our lives are very tough right now. Franca is 2-0 up, and we're aware of that, but we're also aware that whoever wins three games wins. They have one left, and we have to keep our heads up, with a strong focus, because right now we have the knife to our throats and can only think about victory."
