Needing to win, Flamengo welcomes Franca to Maracanãzinho

Game 4 will be against the Red-Black Nation; Mais Querido wants to tie the final series

Back at Maracanãzinho, Flamengo faces the Franca team this Saturday (1), at 14:30 pm, in Game 4 of the Novo Basquete Brasil 11 finals. The red-black team needs to win to stay alive in the fight for the cup, as they are behind in the series by 2 to 1.

The teams have faced each other 31 times in the history of the NBB. The matchup is evenly matched, but Flamengo has the edge in wins: 19 Flamengos to Franca's 12.

The last clash was for Game 3 of the NBB 11 final. Last Saturday (25), Mais Querido was defeated by Franca by 77 to 71, this Saturday, in Pedrocão (SP), and now loses the series by 2 to 1.

The teams faced off in the final of another competition this season: the Super 8 Cup. In a packed Pedrocão stadium, Flamengo overcame all challenges, prevailed in the match, and took the title with a 79-75 victory.

Franca has had excellent performances in the NBB so far. In the qualifying round, they recorded 23 wins and three losses in 26 matches. In the playoffs, they posted positive results against Bauru and Mogi, closing out both series 3-0.
