The 2021/2022 FlaBasquete season has officially begun - and the team is already preparing for the final of the Campeonato Carioca! In a semifinal match held on Sunday afternoon (10), at the Hélio Maurício gym, in Gávea, the Pride of the Nation, won the Municipal Championship and secured a spot in the state tournament final.

In Dar Tucker's first game, the team, which also had all the team's other reinforcements for this season - Túlio da Silva, Vitor Faverani, Brandon Robinson, Fabián Sahdi and JP Batista -, had no difficulty in overcoming the opponent and Mengão decreed the elastic score of 115 to 48.

The top scorer of the match was youngster Rafael Rachel, with 20 points. Right behind him, Brandon Robinson, rookie Dar Tucker, and Olivinha scored 18, 17, and 15 points, respectively.

The decision for the trophy
Five-time consecutive champions in 2020, FlaBasquete is seeking its 47th state title in history. Their opponents for the trophy, Sodiê/Mesquita/LSB, secured their place in the final by beating Niterói in a duel prior to the Mais Querido game, also at the Hélio Maurício gymnasium. The teams will face each other at 18 pm next Tuesday (12), in Gávea.

Just like the semi-final, the decision will be broadcast live, with images, on its FlaTV!
