For the red-black side, Marcelinho was the top scorer, with 16 points; Laprovittola reached eight assists and Meyinsse, with 12 rebounds and 15 points, reached a double-double.
In the first quarter, power forward Olivinha stood out with nine points and seven rebounds. Meyinsse wasn't far behind, with seven points and six rebounds. Upon his return to the court, Laprovittola led the way in assists with three. In the second quarter, Marquinhos emerged with seven points. American Washam excelled in the paint, grabbing three rebounds. The Red-Blacks went into halftime with a narrow five-point lead: 35-30.
In the third quarter, Meyinsse already had a double-double, with 13 points and 11 rebounds. For Bauru, Fernando Fischer was the standout performer, keeping the game even. The quarter ended with a 21-19 run for Flamengo. In the final quarter, Bauru imposed its rhythm and overtook Flamengo. With eight points, Marcelinho was the team's leading scorer in the quarter. But the team was unable to regain the lead and ended up losing 74-70.
"I believe we have to improve our offensive performance, which wasn't very good today. We only scored 70 points, which isn't typical for the team. We can also be more careful with some of the opponent's points. Today, (Fernando) Fischer had a great game, hitting a lot of three-pointers. We knew that was typical of him, but we couldn't avoid it. But we'll certainly be more focused on the next game, because we're in the playoffs, a league in itself," said Olivinha.
