Rafa Luz wins the NBB Skills Challenge
JP Batista plays in the trio that won the All-Star Game and Flamengo has representatives in Saturday's main game

Flamengo point guard Rafa Luz, making his debut in the New Basketball Brazil (NBB) after eight years in Europe, is the new champion of the NBB All-Star Game Skills Challenge. The 24-year-old completed the circuit in 28,4 seconds in the tournament final, beating out André Góes of Macaé, Humberto of Pinheiros, and Gustavinho of Caxias do Sul.
"I'm very happy to have won a competition like this. It was amazing, and I'm happy to represent Flamengo well. This title goes to the Flamengo fans. Winning the Skills Challenge isn't easy. Everyone thinks it is, but it's not. When it comes to the three-point shot, your heart is in your mouth, but I was lucky to hit it first time in the final and I took the title," celebrated Rafa Luz.
JP Batista also wins tournament
In the final official competition of the 2016 All-Star Game, Team Ratto, featuring Flamengo center JP Batista, won the All-Star Throw title. With a strong performance in the final, the team took the trios competition trophy and capped off the celebrations held at the Hugo Ramos Gymnasium in Mogi das Cruzes in style.

On Saturday, the NBB World broke a four-year drought and defeated the NBB Brazil 138-135. Ronald Ramon represented the red-and-black team on the court. The Brazilian team featured Marquinhos and JP Batista, who recorded the only double-double of the All-Star Game with ten points and 13 rebounds.
Jerome and Jason spared themselves and didn't participate. JP, Ronald Ramon, and Marquinhos remained.
