Reinforcement confirmed! Chuzito González is the new FlaBasquete player
Argentine signs until 2021 and is motivated to wear the Sacred Mantle

The 30-year-old shooting guard, who played in Brazilian basketball in 2011 with Minas Gerais, arrives at the Rubro-Negro after a successful stint with San Lorenzo. Besides the Almagro club, he also played for Instituto, Mengão's opponent in the Champions League semifinals.
"I was very young when I first experienced Brazil. I've been on important teams in recent years in Argentina, but I wanted to return to the NBB. This opportunity with Flamengo came up, and I think it's the perfect team. I'm very happy and confident," he said.
Accustomed to big matches, the athlete has faced the "Mais Querido" on a few occasions. In addition to Flamengo's excellent performances, he noted the strength of the nation.
"Flamengo is a club with high-quality players, and that motivates me, because I always strive to be part of a competitive team. Now I'm at a giant club with a very passionate fan base. I really like that and I hope we have a great year," Chuzito celebrated.
Eager to meet his compatriot Franco Balbi in Gávea, the Argentine stressed that he will dedicate himself completely to keeping the team at the top of the competition.
"I've known Franco for a long time, it will be our first season together, and I have no doubt he will be important in my adaptation. I want the red-and-black fans to identify with my style of play, but my main goal is to help the team win and play the best basketball possible," he concluded.
Chuzito joins Marquinhos, Olivinha, and Balbi, who had their contracts renewed, and Pedro Nunes, who has a contract until the end of 2021, on the roster. The coaching staff, led by Gustavo De Conti, will remain the same as in previous years.
