There's some news coming to FlaBasquete. Wesley Alves da Silva, known as Mogi, a shooting guard who was with Grand Rapids Drive, the Detroit Pistons' G-League affiliate, arrives to bolster the squad led by coach José Neto, under contract until June.
A product of Palmeiras' youth academy, Mogi is 21 years old and was a standout player in Paulistano's campaign last season, where he was teammates with point guard Arthur Pecos and helped the São Paulo team finish as runner-up. During the 16/17 season, he averaged 13.2 minutes and 4.6 points per game.
In 2016, the young man was the grand champion of the Dunk Contest at the NBB All-Star Game.
