Ricardo Fischer opens Casa Flamengo this Sunday
The point guard spoke about the club, Rio de Janeiro and said he is eager to return to playing

This Sunday (7), at 14:15 pm, the Brazilian Olympic basketball team will debut against Lithuania in the Rio Olympic Games. And the Nation is invited to watch the game at Casa Flamengo, which already received a visit from a star of the orange ball this morning. In Gávea, Ricardo Fischer, new point guard of Orgulho da Nação, spoke about what he expects from the match.
"There was already a preliminary match in Mogi (a friendly against Lithuania), it was a game decided by the details, and it should be the same today. I think it will be a tough game, but Brazil will win. I'm confident and I think we'll win," said the athlete, who also praised Rio.
"The city is wonderful, as everyone says. I'm from São Paulo, but I prefer Rio de Janeiro. Here at the club where Flamengo is based, the view is very privileged. I'm enjoying everything and the affection of the fans is wonderful. In about 15 days I'll be coming to Rio for good," he said.
According to Fischer, his recovery is in the final stages and, therefore, the anxiety to return to the court only increases.
"I'm eager to return because the time is approaching. I'm already doing everything I can in physiotherapy, I just can't turn around. But I want to start training soon, wear this jersey and bring joy to the fans. I already know the athletes from my time with the national team and the coaching staff, so the adaptation will be quick," he concluded.
