A native of São Paulo, Fischer started the NBB 14.3 season playing for Brasília and is averaging 4.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 15 assists, and XNUMX efficiency.
"I'm very happy with this opportunity to return. It's a huge club with a mindset of always winning, always fighting for titles, and that's what I've always had in my career. I always had the goal of returning to Flamengo. Things ended up happening very quickly, but I'm very happy, ready for this challenge, and focused on helping the team win titles," said the player.
Moving to Rio, Fischer will be appearing this week, on Thursday (05), the date of the cast's return.
"I want to get there soon and start training because we have the Champions League right at the beginning of January, which Flamengo always aims to win, so we have to gel as quickly as possible so I can help the team in the best way possible to get victories and keep advancing in the competitions," commented the point guard.
Guilherme Kroll, Vice President of Olympic Sports for Rubro-Negro, spoke about the athlete's arrival.
"Ricardo Fischer indicates that, at 31 years of age, he has reached his peak as a basketball player. He is one of the greatest talents in our sport. Last week, in Franca, playing for Brasília, he played 36 minutes and scored almost 30 points. He is a player who will complement our squad. I am convinced he will become a national idol," said the director. "We are working hard. We know we owe a debt to our fans, who packed the Tijuca stadium and deserved a great celebration. We will pay it back with interest and monetary correction."
FlaBasquete will play most of its January matches at home. On the 8th, next Sunday, the Orgulho da Nação faces Pato in the NBB and, next (10), hosts Pinheiros. Between the 13th and 15th, the Mais Querido will host the second window of the Champions League qualifying phase, at Tijuca Tênis Clube, with the Copa Super 8 starting shortly after.
