The Hélio Maurício gymnasium, at the Gávea social headquarters, hosted this morning the last FlaBasquete training session before the trip to the interior of São Paulo, where Rubro-Negro will face Mogi das Cruzes. The match will be the first of the best-of-five semifinal series of the NBB CAIXA, and is scheduled for 14:10 pm this Saturday (30), with live broadcast on RedeTV! and SporTV. This will be the eighth time in eight editions of the national competition that the Pride of the Nation will compete for a place in the grand final, a record among all participating teams.

After the training session, which was open to the press, shooting guard Jason Robinson spoke about his expectations for the first game against the Mogi team.

"It's going to be a very tough game because we'll start the series playing away from home. Winning there doesn't define anything, but it helps a lot in maintaining our concentration to reach the final. Besides, I always prefer to play with a full arena, and I know it will be there, even if it's the opposing team's fans. I can't focus very well on the game when we arrive in an empty arena. And when you're in a game, it can go from very good to very bad very quickly, so we need to maintain concentration the whole time," he stated.

On the morning of this Friday (29), the team travels to Mogi and, there, trains at night. The second and third games of the series are scheduled for May 6 and 9, at 21 pm, at Tijuca Tennis Club, with transmission on SporTV channel.
