Now in Argentina, the FlaBasquete team held its first training session in Mar del Plata, this Wednesday (25.02), at the Peñarol gym, preparing for its debut in the second phase of the Liga das Américas (LDA) 2015. Having finished the group stage in first place, the athletes from Orgulho da Nação are trying, at the home of the red-blacks Nicolas Laprovittola and Walter Herrmann, to qualify for the Final Four of the LDA.

The red-and-black team's first match takes place this Friday (February 27.02th) at 19 pm against the Mexican team Halcones Rojos. After missing the first phase of the competition due to dengue fever, point guard Marquinhos will have his chance to make his championship debut. "The anticipation for this first match is huge. I love playing in the Liga das Américas because it's a championship where we face great players and great teams. I've prepared very well for these upcoming matches. We trained hard during this last break, and we're all very focused on helping Flamengo reach the finals," said the player.

After debuting against the Mexicans, Fabasquete will face Trotamundos on Saturday (28.02) and on Sunday (01.03) the home team, Peñarol. If they finish among the top two in the classification, the Pride of the Nation will face the Final Four, on March 14 and 15, to continue their search for the continental title.
