The FlaBasquete team took to the court this Tuesday (10.02) to face Pinheiros, at the São Paulo team's home. Coming from a three-game winning streak, the Pride of the Nation did not disappoint and secured another victory to close in on the leaders and get even closer to qualifying among the top four for the playoffs.

Flamengo has its next challenge on Thursday (12.02), against Palmeiras, at 20 pm, to end its sequence of three games in São Paulo. 

As expected, the first quarter was fiercely contested. Cheered on by their fans, Pinheiros came out swinging and opened the scoring with a three-pointer, quickly countered by two points from point guard Marquinhos and a comeback from center Jerome Meyinsse. Despite the red-and-black team's strong performance, the home team took the lead again, closing the first half 21-16.

Even trailing, José Neto's men didn't slow down. Nicolás Laprovittola and Felício put in strong performances, supported by the introduction of point guard Gegê. With FlaBasquete's familiar rotation, the team continued its pursuit, achieving another comeback in a game full of twists and turns. The Red-Blacks took the lead and closed the second quarter 20-17.

Returning with much of the starting lineup, Flamengo displayed the same basketball skills that made them champions in the third half. Without much difficulty, Flamengo, supported by a strong fourth quarter from Laprovittola, Marquinhos, and Felício, closed the third half 28-15, carrying a six-point lead into the final ten minutes.

The final quarter arrived, and with it, the Argentine point guard for the red-and-black team was truly having an inspired night. With four assists and 27 points, Nico Laprovittola helped the Pride of the Nation close out the final period 25-15, securing the team's fourth consecutive victory in the Novo Basquete Brasil 7, 89-68.
