Between Friday (06.03) and Saturday (07.03) the All-Star Game, held by the National Basketball League, took place in Franca, in the interior of São Paulo. During the two-day event, the city witnessed skills challenges, shooting competitions, three-point contests, dunks and, finally, the match between Brazilians and foreigners, all featuring the highlights of the New Basketball Brazil (NBB) 7. As usual, players from the Pride of the Nation were present at the event.

For the so-called all-star game, Marquinhos, for the Brazilian team, and Jerome Meyinsse, Nicolas Laprovittola, and Walter Herrmann, for the foreign team, were present. Even with the Brazilian team winning 131-110, the two Argentines on Flamengo's roster stood out for the international team. Herrmann scored 21 points, 18 of which came in consecutive second-quarter scoring. Point guard Laprovittola scored 18 times, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out seven assists.

In the 3-Point Tournament, Marcelinho Machado, defending last year's title, repeated his feat and the competition record, reaching 23 points. "First of all, I'm very happy to be part of this celebration of Brazilian basketball. I've always been a very competitive athlete, which is why I've achieved so much in my career, and we don't take that for granted. Today I arrived here not as well prepared as last year, but I was already competing. In my mind, I was competing to win," said the red-and-black shooting guard.

The Pride of the Nation returns to the court next Saturday (14.03) for the start of the Final Four of the 2015 League of the Americas, a tournament in which Rubro-Negro is fighting to become two-time champion, repeating the success of 2014.
