Flamengo players Olivinha, Caio, Marquinhos, Kojo, and Benite put on a show at the NBB All-Star Games this Saturday morning in Brasília. The competition's festive event was marked by plenty of games, fun, and baskets. The match ended 146 for NBB Brazil, led by fellow Flamengo coach Neto, against 144 for NBB World, made up of foreign players currently playing in Brazil.

"What we saw today was a great celebration of basketball. This relaxed performance and this exchange with the public here in Brasília only contribute to the greater promotion of our sport. Congratulations to everyone," said Marquinhos.

Just as they do on the court defending the colors of the "Mais Querido" (the most beloved team), Flamengo's athletes were an important part of the celebration. Besides playing well from the start, they managed to entertain the crowd at the Nilson Nelson gymnasium with excellent dribbling, passing, and spectacular baskets.

"Above all, it's a spectacle. An opportunity to showcase basketball to the entire country. It's a game that some team has to win, but the real winner was Brazil, with this celebration," said Benite.

Because it was a festive match, the score didn't matter, and the players joked around for most of the match. Mascots took to the court, and even Globoesporte host Thiago Leifert scored a basket. The game only really got serious in the final minutes, when both teams decided to play a bit more seriously so they could joke with their teammates about winning the match. However, the quality and balance were so great that we had to go into overtime.

"I'm very happy to have participated once again in this All-Star Game celebration, especially with this unprecedented extra time that made the game even more exciting. This is another positive result for Flamengo basketball," celebrated Olivinha.

During the five extra minutes, the game took on a slightly more serious tone, with the Brazilians prevailing, largely thanks to coach Neto's strong defense. Flamengo's next NBB game will be this Monday against Mogi das Cruzes.

"Brasília deserves congratulations! The party was beautiful, and playing in such a relaxed atmosphere only contributes to the growth of basketball. I'm very happy to be part of this celebration," commented coach Neto.

Still in a festive mood, Kojo, who played for the Mundo team, said that all that was missing was more time on the court to make everything perfect.

"The game was great, even though it wasn't competitive. I wish I had played more (laughs). Seriously, the game was really good," joked the player.
