Rubro-negros present themselves to the national team in São Paulo

Olivinha, Vitor Benite, Gegê, Cristiano Felício and coach José Neto are the representatives of Flamengo

The Flamengo players called up to the Brazilian national team reported this Sunday (June 29.06), at 18 pm, at a hotel in São Paulo, to begin preparations for the South American Championship. The competition will be played from July 24 to 28, on Margarita Island, Venezuela. For Flamengo, forward/center Olivinha, forward/point guard Vitor Benite, point guard Gegê and center Cristiano Felício will be available to coaches José Neto, also the Rubro-Negro coach, and Rubén Magnano. On the coaching staff, Flamengo also provided assistant Rodrigo da Silva and physical trainer Diego Falcão.

In the South American Championship, Brazil is in group "A" and will face Paraguay on July 24, Ecuador on July 25, and Argentina on July 26. The top three teams will qualify for the Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada, in 2015, while the top four will secure a spot in next year's Pre-Olympic Tournament of the Americas.

Training sessions at the Paulistano gymnasiums (June 29th and 30th and July 7th and 14th) and Esporte Clube Sírio gymnasiums (July 1st to 18th) will be open to basketball coaches. Learn more here.
