It's been a busy week for the red-black basketball team. The team is training in two periods for the games against Uberlândia, on Friday (25.03), at 20 pm, at Tijuca Tênis Clube, and against Brasília, on Sunday (27.03), at 13 pm, at the same location.

With four games remaining in the NBB (New Basketball Brazil) qualifying round, Flamengo is tied with Pinheiros in the lead. Both teams have 18 wins in 24 matches (75% success rate). In head-to-head matches, the first tiebreaker, the São Paulo team has the upper hand, having won both games.

"We are very focused on the next two games, at home. It is very important for us to win these two matches and continue in the fight for the top spots in the table," said winger/guard Marcelinho, who remains the competition's top scorer, with 646 points in total (an average of 26,9 per game).

If Flamengo finishes in the top four in the second half of the season, they will secure a spot in the Interleague Tournament, which brings together the top four teams in the NBB and the top four in the Argentine Basketball League. Host cities have not yet been announced, but the tournament will take place from April 4th to 8th in Argentina (for the top two teams in the Argentine Basketball League and the third and fourth-place teams in the NBB) and from April 10th to 15th in Brazil (for the top two teams in the NBB and the third and fourth-place teams in the Argentine Basketball League).

After facing Uberlândia and Brasília at home, Flamengo will face São José, on April 01.04st, in São José dos Campos, and Limeira, on April 03.04rd, in Limeira, in the closing of the NBB qualifying phase.
