Flamengo started the match completely dominating the action. With Fischer's precision and the starting five's chemistry, José Neto's men quickly dictated the pace and took a 22-13 lead in the first ten minutes.

However, despite a blistering start, Flamengo saw Macaé rally in the second period. The visitors took a 31-30 lead, but in the final minutes of the second period, Flamengo came back. Despite trailing 14-20 in the period, Mengão went into halftime leading 36-33.

In the second half, the Pride of the Nation came back strong, managing the result without any scares, and gradually increasing their lead. In the third quarter, they achieved a solid 18-8 victory, opening up a 13-point lead. In the final ten minutes of the game, they dominated completely, and with a 22-10 lead, they closed the game at 85-66.

"Today, unfortunately, Marcelinho didn't play and I had more time on the court. It was a tight, difficult, intense game, but the important thing is that in the end we opened up the lead and managed to impose the rhythm," said Pedrinho Rava.
