Last Tuesday (6), Flamengo's Marketing Department officially announced the opening of sales for FlaPasse, the ticket card that guarantees Flamengo fans free access to all FlaBasquete home games in the State Championship and NBB in the 2016/17 season. Since then, only buyers of the previous year's FlaPasse could acquire this advantage exclusively. This Friday (9), sales were also opened to all members of the Mais Querido fan club. According to the club's marketing department, the FlaPasse experience in 2015/16 was positive, with 100 units sold, as this was a new action to engage with Flamengo fans. The maximum sales limit per season is 300 cards, as the club cannot exceed the capacity of the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium in Gávea (482 in total), since it is the home court with the lowest attendance for Flabasquete games. If the maximum number of FlaPasses were allowed at the venue, there would be a possibility that "regular" fans and season ticket holders would be excluded from the games. Furthermore, fans who purchase the FlaPasse will have the right to attend all Flamengo home games in the Carioca Championship free of charge in 2016, including the return of the Flamengo vs. Vasco derby.
As a personalized thank you, the orange ball fan also receives a letter written by the world champion coach, José Neto. Benefits for those who purchase the card also include opportunities for direct contact with the Flamengo squad, such as the team's official presentation for the 2016/17 season.
For all these reasons, the club's Marketing department projected reaching the maximum number of ticket sales for the NBB9 games. Fans will benefit from at least 15 NBB games and three Carioca games, even if Flamengo doesn't advance to the next phase. Considering the positive track record of playoff participation, this number could reach 31 games if Flamengo reaches the finals of both competitions – as has happened in the last five years. In this case, a Flamengo fan who purchased the FlaPasse would be paying only R$8,87 per ticket.
