U-13 finishes the first phase of the Brazilian Basketball Cup with a 100% success rate

Rubro-Negro will play the quarterfinals against Tijuca

The red-and-black youth academy continues to bring joy. In the first phase of the Brazilian Under-13 Basketball Cup, the "Mais Querido" finished with a 100% record.

In their debut, Flamengo defeated Mackenzie, from Minas Gerais, by a score of 64-15. In the second match, facing Sociedade Ginástica Novo Hamburgo, Flamengo easily won 96-19. Closing the first stage, the match was against Circuito Militar, from Curitiba (PR), and Mengão finished in the best possible way: winning 52-30 and securing qualification.

This Thursday (29), the Under-13 team will face Tijuca Tênis Clube in a match valid for the quarterfinals of the competition. 

The basketball teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Estácio, AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR) and State Incentive Law/State Secretariat of Sports, Leisure and Youth (Seelje) of Rio de Janeiro, in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
