Under-14s and Under-17s beat Comary and remain top of the State Basketball Championship

By Victor Cachoeira - inLast weekend, the U-14 and U-17 basketball teams took to the court for the return leg of the State Championship. Playing in Gávea against Comary, the results were positive for both categories, confirming the excellent performance of the red-and-black youth team in the competition and completing the remaining matches.
In the Under-14 category, the team led by coach Igor Melleti achieved a strong score, 113x28 for Mais Querido and continued their unbeaten run.
In the U-17 division, coach Marcos Beegu's team achieved another strong result. With Elias (22 points) as the team's leading scorer, the Red-Black team secured a 69-38 victory. Igor, with 19 points, also excelled offensively and contributed to FlaBasquete's victory. A defensive standout, Matheusão grabbed the most rebounds.
After the match, Beegu commented on the team's performance.
“We worked very well together, the defense worked well and I managed to get the team moving, generating a strong score,” said the coach.
The next match for the U-14 and U-17 teams will be next Wednesday (30), against Fluminense, in Laranjeiras.
