Last weekend, on September 24th and 25th, Flamengo's under-14 and under-17 basketball teams played a friendly state quadrangular against Botafogo, Vasco and Tijuca Tênis Clube, at the Hélio Maurício gymnasium, at the Gávea social headquarters.
The under-14 team took first place, beating Botafogo and Tijuca, who took third and second place, respectively. Vasco took fourth.
In the under-17 tournament, the boys lost both matches, to Botafogo and Vasco, and finished fourth. The podium was made up of Tijuca, Botafogo, and Vasco, in first, second, and third place, respectively.

The youth basketball teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – CSN (Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional), Banco Bonsucesso and Brasil Brokers – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
