Under-22s lose first round of LDB, but reinforcements perform well
Pedrinho and Léo Bispo each scored 12 points; the team returns to the court this afternoon

The FlaBasquete under-22 team was unable to beat the current São Paulo champion in the category in the debut of the Basketball Development League (LDB), São José, last Monday (29). But in the 62-48 defeat, new faces hired for this season stood out on the court.
Both Flamengo debutants, Pedrinho and Léo Bispo were the team's standout performers. The point guard scored 12 points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out two assists, and rebounded two in the match. The power forward also contributed 12 points and five rebounds in his 36 minutes on the court. Another Flamengo debutant, Humberto, was also a standout, with nine points and five rebounds in less than thirty minutes.
This afternoon, Flamengo returns to play in the competition, again in São Bernardo (SP), against Sport Recife, at 16 pm.
The youth basketball teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – CSN (Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional), Banco Bonsucesso and Brasil Brokers – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
