Flamengo's under-22 basketball team failed to overcome its last two opponents in the Basketball Development League (LDB). On Tuesday (6), Mais Querido lost to Sesi-SP/Franca Basquete by 65 to 48 in the second round of the Série Ouro, played in São Bernardo do Campo-SP. On Wednesday (7), the winning team was São José Basketball, with a score of 72 to 51.

In the first game of the week, in the final quarter, Flamengo managed to overcome a 17-point deficit and open up a 7-point lead, but the São Paulo team improved in the remainder of the period and regained the lead, securing the victory. Humberto was Flamengo's top scorer in the game with 11 points.

In their defeat against São José, coach Rodrigo da Silva's team had a good performance at the beginning of the first quarter, opening up a nine-point lead. However, as the game progressed, the São Paulo team closed the gap, cutting the lead to just one point. In the following three quarters, São José dominated, maintaining a lead that remained around twenty points until the end of the match.

With three points, Flamengo occupies 5th place in Group C along with the team's next opponent in the competition, Limeira. The match between the two teams will be played this Friday (06), at the Universidade Metodista gymnasium. The game will start at 14:30 pm.
