Alexey Borges is a Mengão player! The 28-year-old point guard completes FlaBasquete's point guard duo, alongside Franco Balbi.

Alexey is a longtime Brazilian basketball legend, having played for Franca, Mogi, Bauru, and Minas Gerais. More recently, the point guard has had experience abroad, with stints in the G-League and German basketball. In his last NBB season, with Minas Gerais, Alexey averaged 13.3 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game.

In a first message to the Nation, Alexey expressed his eagerness to wear the Mantle.

"It's an honor to wear the Flamengo jersey. I can't wait to put on the mantle and help Flamengo achieve our goals. We'll fight for every game and every title," said the Flamengo signing.

Alexey joins Franco Balbi as the first two names confirmed for the 23/24 FlaBasquete season.
