In one of the most exciting games of the season, Flamengo's under-15 team let victory slip away in the second game of the best-of-three State Basketball Championship final, on Tuesday morning (15.11). After four overtimes, Flamengo was defeated by Fluminense 89 x 87, at the Hélio Maurício gymnasium, in Gávea. The decision was scheduled for this Wednesday (16.11), at 17 pm, in Laranjeiras.

The match was balanced, ending in a 59-59 draw. The tie continued in the first overtime (66-66), the second (72-72), and the third (82-82). In the fourth overtime, Flamengo had a chance to equalize in the final seconds, but ended up conceding the victory: 87-89. The top scorer was Flamengo's Winderson, with 25 points.

In the day's first game, the youth team (under-13) defeated Fluminense 67-62 in the first leg of the category's final. Flamengo will be seeking the title this Wednesday (November 16.11th) at 18:30 pm in Laranjeiras. After going into halftime down 41-29, Flamengo improved its defense, asserted itself in attack, and pulled off a major comeback in the fourth quarter, much to the delight of the fans who packed the stands at the Hélio Maurício Stadium on the club's anniversary.
