Flamengo's under-17 team defeated Botafogo 71-51 last Wednesday (10.11) at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium in Gávea, in the first game of the best-of-three semifinals of the State Basketball Championship. The top scorer of the match was the red-black Jefferson Barbosa, with 21 points.

The game was fairly even, with both teams alternating the lead. Only in the final quarter did Flamengo finally take control, eventually opening up a 20-point lead.

Seeking a spot in the final, Flamengo returns to the court on November 18.11th against the same opponent at 19:30 PM at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium in Gávea. If necessary, the third game will be on November 19.11th at 17:30 PM at Botafogo.
