Youth teams continue to be devastating in the State Basketball Championship
The red-and-black youth and youth teams defeat Jequiá. The U-14s crush ABASCA.

Despite playing away from home, Flamengo's youth (under-13) and youth (under-17) basketball teams performed well against Jequiá in the final round of the State Championship on Sunday (August 21.08). The youth team won 53-38, with Bernardo Campos scoring the top scorer with 13 points. The youth team beat their opponents 92-16. Daniel Lorio once again led the way with 17 points. The youth team (under-15), in turn, let the victory slip away by a three-point margin: 79-76. The standout was Winderson Coelho, who scored 29 points.
On Saturday (20.08), the under-14 team crushed ABASCA, 115 to 16.
Next Saturday (27.08), the youth teams will take to the court against Club Municipal, at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium, in Gávea. The youth team will play at 11 am, the children's team at 12:30 pm and the junior team at 14 pm. The under-14 team will only play again on 01.09, also against Municipal, at 17:30 pm, at the opponent's home.
