After a fiercely contested game, Flamengo defeated Paulistano 78-73 and became the three-time champion of the New Basketball Brazil (NBB), after having the best campaign in the qualifying phase. The trophy completed the 2014 treble, including the State Championship, the League of the Americas, and the NBB. The top scorers of the match were Marcelinho and Jerome Meyinsse, who was also named MVP of the final.

My father passed away this year, so I dedicate it to my mother for being strong, for supporting me to stay and play basketball, which she knows I love. With seven minutes remaining in the second quarter, a steal by Nico excited the crowd, but the score was very even: 25-24 for Flamengo. Paulistano turned the game around with a basket by Cesar at 5, but captain Marcelinho put Flamengo back in front with a three-pointer. The moment of the match also marked Vitor Benite's return to the court after nearly six months away. His first points came on two converted free throws six minutes into the second period. The teams alternated the lead until the end of the period, which ended with Paulistano ahead: 38-40.

Flamengo's comeback came with two three-pointers from Marquinhos and Marcelinho, sending the fans into a frenzy in the stands: 44-42. The game remained closely contested, consistent with the even score, which remained tied several times throughout the third quarter. Felício came on strong and, in addition to the rebounds, scored a three-pointer. In the final seconds of the period, Flamengo surged forward and closed the period at 60-57. In the final quarter, a beautiful three-pointer from Benite gave Flamengo a seven-point lead: 69-62. The lead held until the final minute of the game, when Holloway tied it with two free throws: 73-73. From then on, it was all Flamengo. José Neto's team took the lead with Nico and Marcelinho and closed the score at 78-73.
