Renewed! Center Rafael Mineiro, a two-time NBB champion with the Manto Sagrado, has renewed his contract with the Mais Querido and will remain on the red-and-black squad for the 2019/20 season. One of the best defenders in the last edition of the national championship, Mineiro averaged 6,6 points and 4,7 rebounds, with an efficiency rating of 8,4. 

Going into his fourth season with FlaBasquete, the number 12 celebrated the opportunity to continue in the Mengão squad. 

"I'm very happy to continue my career at Flamengo. This is my second stint with the club, and I've already experienced many unforgettable moments wearing the Manto. I want to continue my work, and I'm sure this will be another season of achievements for the nation," he said.

Rafa Mineiro joins Franco Balbi and Olivinha, who also renewed their contracts for another season, and Marquinhos, Deryk, Jhonatan Luz and Gustavo de Conti, who have another year on their contracts.
