The red-blacks Vitor Benite and Cristiano Felício were champions, for the Brazilian National Team, of the Super 4 Tournament of Salta, last Sunday (04.08), in Argentina. In the final, Brazil beat Mexico 94 to 68, and Benite was one of the top scorers of the match, with 17 points scored.

"There were two great games in Salta. This showed how good the training period we had in São Paulo was. The goal is to keep growing physically, technically, and tactically. The victories were important, but we know there's still a lot to improve and we'll continue to strive for this improvement for the Copa América in Venezuela," Benite told the Brazilian Basketball Confederation's official website.

Flamengo currently has three other representatives with the Brazilian national team: winger Marquinhos, José Neto (assistant coach to Rubem Magnano), and Diego Falcão (fitness coach). However, since only part of the group traveled to Argentina, they were among those who remained in Brazil. Next weekend, the five Flamengo players will participate in the Super Four Tournament in Anápolis, Goiás.

This training period with the Brazilian national team has been a good opportunity for newly signed Cristiano Felício to better connect with his new teammates. Among them is coach José Neto, who already knew the player well due to their frequent appearances for the youth teams.

"I've already worked with Cristiano. With the U-19 national team, at the 2011 World Cup in Latvia, for example. Also with other youth teams and the Young Players' National Team. We have a good relationship and I know him well. With the other players (Marquinhos and Benite), I've been around the club for a while, which gives us greater confidence in each other. This contributes to Brazil and this is our focus now: to do our best for the national team," said José Neto, Flamengo's coach.
