The 21/22 season begins with a new addition for the Pride of the Nation. In the final stages of transitioning to return to the court, Vitor Faverani has signed with Mengão. The player, who will play in his home country for the first time since turning professional, has been confirmed as a reinforcement."Knowing the reputation of the medical team, made up of doctors, physiotherapists, fitness trainers and assistants, as well as the structure of the facilities worthy of one of the best clubs in the world, I'm sure that any player in my position would have made the same decision," explained the athlete.
A native of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Faverani left Brazil early and excelled in Spain, where he played for Valencia, Murcia, Unicaja Malaga, and Barcelona. His strong performances in Europe led him to the Boston Celtics, a traditional NBA franchise. Experienced, he now aims to win a championship with the club.
"I left Brazil at the age of 13 to play in Spain, and since then, I've always dreamed of coming back to play here, but I never imagined I'd have the privilege of defending a club with as much weight and history as Mengão. I hope to help the team win every game in my first season. I want to win titles, and I believe that should be the goal of every player at the club," he said.
