Victory in overtime and breaking Felício's record in the LDB
The young center of the red-black team scores 29 rebounds in the game, the highest number in the history of the competition.

With a record-breaking performance by center Cristiano Felício, who reached 29 rebounds in the match, the highest number in the history of the competition, Flamengo beat Bauru in the Basketball Development League (LDB) by 88 to 87. The excitement of the game between two teams that were tied in the standings did not stop there: the match was decided in the last second of overtime.
Scoring 26 points, Felício's brilliant performance culminated in a double-double and he celebrated his achievements in the match. "I'm very happy to know that I've made LDB history by breaking the rebounding record. I see that all my hard work and effort is helping my team on the court, and that satisfactory results will come over time," the center declared.
Forward Diego, with 21 points in 28 attempts (75% success rate) and point guard Chupeta, who came close to a triple-double when leaving the court with 15 points, ten rebounds and six assists, also stood out in the red-black victory.
After the triumph, Flamengo reached its ninth victory in 13 matches played in the 2014 LDB (69,2% success rate). This Saturday afternoon (27.12), at 13 pm, Paulo Chupeta's team returns to the court against Botafogo, for the 14th round, in Macaé.
The game

With a 100% success rate from ten points from forward Diego and a strong performance from center Cristiano Felício, with six points and five rebounds, the team opened up a ten-point lead in the first five minutes (18-8). After a timeout from the opposing coach, Bauru came back stronger, scoring eight consecutive points and reducing the deficit to two points (20-18). Still perfect on the field (13 points out of 13 attempted), Flamengo forward Diego converted a three-pointer in the final seconds to keep Flamengo two points ahead at the end of the first quarter (25-23). The red-and-black team started the second quarter with the same pace as the first, and with excellent shooting, Flamengo regained a large lead (41-27) with more than five minutes remaining in the first half. Bauru ran after it, but the first half ended with Rubro-Negro still 10 points ahead: 48 to 38.
