Artistic swimming athletes undergo exams and evaluations at Hermes Pardini
Laboratory partners with CUIDAR in the pursuit of the well-being of Flamengo athletes

This week, Flamengo's artistic swimming athletes underwent a series of exams and evaluations at Hermes Pardini. A CUIDAR partner since 2017, the laboratory is responsible for performing various types of laboratory and imaging procedures on the club's Olympic athletes.
Izabel Miranda, Sports Science Manager at Mais Querido, highlighted the importance of the partnership between CUIDAR and the Hermes Pardini laboratory.
"We've already performed around 380 laboratory and imaging tests. On the basketball and volleyball teams, athletes underwent a series of evaluations and exams during the preseason. Athletes from other Olympic sports who don't have health insurance, which represents more than 50% of the red-and-blacks, also receive free check-ups at the laboratory," Izabel continued.
"The key difference is that the doctors deliver results immediately, and the facility where the treatment is provided has excellent facilities, with a high level of technical and scientific expertise. Our goal is to further expand this partnership so that our athletes can take care of their health," the manager emphasized.
The care for the athletes of the red-black artistic swimming team was divided into two days. On Wednesday (29), Giovana Stephan, Vitória Casale, Maria Eduarda Miccuci and Laura Miccuci underwent evaluations. On Thursday (31), Maria Clara Lobo, Lorena Molinos, Jullia Catharino and Gabriela Regly underwent a series of exams to check the health status of each one.
The artistic swimming teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Banco Bonsucesso, Furnas, Estácio, LafargeHolcim/Cimento Mauá, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
