Here you can see the actions that the Olympic Sports Department carried out directly in the preparation of athletes and teams of all modalities and categories through CUIDAR (Unified Center for Identification and Development of Performance Athletes) between the months of January and March 2019.

Decision Support Program: Monthly meeting with the multidisciplinary team, coaches, and managers of the sports to integrate and align knowledge and actions, aiming to improve the training and development of high-performance athletes. All sports participate in the program. This year, 20 PSDs (Decision Support Programs) have already been held.

Daily monitoring in Rowing, Artistic Gymnastics and Volleyball: It's used to assess, monitor, and closely monitor how the athlete is feeling and progressing. It can also be used to detect and prevent potential injuries and plan future training sessions.

Physiotherapy Assessments: Carried out in February with the aim of detecting popossible risk factors that may contribute to the development of acute and/or chronic injuries in sports practice. 456 athletes of all Olympic modalities were evaluated, with the exception of the first categories, and we have a partnership with SONAFE – National Society of Physiotherapy.

Pre-Season Physical Assessments: Its objective is to assess the athlete's health status and identify key aspects for subsequent training. All modalities were evaluated, totaling 557 athletes.

Training: A total of ten Schools for Athletes, Parents and Sports Professionals were held in 2019. The topics covered were: Monitoring of Athlete Load Control, Nutrition, Sports Psychology, Transdisciplinarity in High Performance Sports and Doping.

CARE Services: In 2019, more than two thousand consultations were carried out across CUIDAR's specialties (Medicine, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, and Nutrition). Furthermore, there is daily support from Biostatistics, which evaluates data and prepares reports across all modalities, and from Physiology, which supports training planning.

Planning presentations: Held for parents and athletes of all sports in order to communicate what is planned for the sport during the year.

The Unified Center for Identification and Development of High-Performance Athletes seeks to enhance interdisciplinarity in sports by combining athlete training with collaborative work from various sports disciplines to complement each individual's development. The goal is to not only train athletes but also develop the professionals involved in developing new talent, focusing on six areas: physical preparation, technique, tactics, and intellectual, educational, and emotional development.
