The Unified Center for Identification and Development of Performance Athletes, CUIDAR, held the “Strength Training for High Sports Performance” course last Saturday (18) in partnership with the Regional Council of Physical Education (CREF). Taught by professor Luiz Antônio Moreira Jr., scientific coordinator of CUIDAR and an international reference in the area, the event took place in the Salão Nobre, at the Gávea headquarters, and brought together around 80 professionals from various clubs in Rio de Janeiro.

"This course is the result of a partnership between CREF and Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and is part of a training program offered to Physical Education professionals. The course had two main parts: theoretical and practical. We welcomed several professionals from the field, both from within the club and from outside, which was very positive because there was a very positive exchange of experiences among the students," said Luiz Antônio.

To train club employees and promote exchanges between professionals from Brazil and abroad, CUIDAR regularly holds lectures and training sessions, both internal and open to the public. The "Strength Training for High Sports Performance" course was another successful event for the club, with places sold out in less than 15 minutes.
