CUIDAR conducts II Pre-Season Assessment
Meetings present the work carried out at the club to parents and guardians of athletes
By Flamengo Communication - inFlamengo's CUIDAR center conducted the 2018nd Pre-Season Assessment of the club's youth athletes throughout March. The purpose of the meetings was to introduce parents and guardians to the structure of the Mais Querido Olympic sports, the program's technical and scientific support, the technical and multidisciplinary planning, and the 100 competition calendar. Also on the agenda were the effective actions of CUIDAR and each Sports Management Department, guidelines, standards, and procedures, and the financial support offered by the club. The assessments were divided by sport and were attended by approximately XNUMX people each day.
Flamengo's Sports Science Manager, Izabel Miranda, commented on the initiative.
"This is an important opportunity for parents to learn about our programs and ask questions about the entire process. These meetings are crucial for ensuring parents are fully informed about the infrastructure, the high-performance athlete development program, athlete evaluations, the multidisciplinary team program, and the coaching staff," Izabel stated.
CUIDAR (Unified Center for Identification and Development of High-Performance Athletes) was created in 2015 with the goal of improving interdisciplinarity in sports, combining athlete training with work from various sports disciplines, complementing each individual's development. The project grows each year, and in 2018, for the first time, physical therapy volunteers were trained by the National Society of Physical Therapy (SONAFE).
