CUIDAR holds a lecture on Doping in Sports

The meeting is part of Flamengo's School of Parents, Athletes and Professionals

Next Thursday (28), the Rogério Steinberg auditorium, at Flamengo's social headquarters, in Gávea, will host another edition of the Flamengo School for Parents, Athletes and Professionals, led by CUIDAR (Unified Center for Identification and Development of Performance Athletes). The theme of the meeting this time will be "Doping in Sport". 

The event is scheduled for 19 pm and will bring together at the speakers' table Dr. Bruno Fonseca, Member of the Anti-Doping Commission of the Ministry of Sports since 2004, Dr. Rodolfo Alkmin, Doping Control Officer of the Brazilian Doping Control Authority (ABCD), and the former gymnast and current land sports manager of Flamengo, Luisa Parente, member of the Anti-Doping Court of Justice.

Izabel Miranda, Flamengo's Sports Science Manager and head of CUIDAR, was one of the event's creators.

“The topic to be addressed will be presented in the form of a panel and the speakers will address the importance of anti-doping, reveal details of the methodology used by the ACBD (Brazilian Doping Control Authority) and WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency), the bodies responsible for doping control, and will provide tips on attention, conduct and preventive behavior for athletes in relation to the topic,” said Izabel.

The lecture will be open to the community of athletes, parents, guardians and professionals of the red-black sport.
