CUIDAR/Clube de Regatas do Flamengo had its first Scientific Article published in the Brazilian Journal of Sports Medicine in January 2019, with CRF Sports Science Manager, Izabel Miranda, as one of the authors. “COMPARISON OF THE RANGE OF ROTATION MOTION OF THE GLENOHUMERAL JOINT IN YOUNG ATHLETES” was the topic addressed by the professionals who signed the study.

"The objective of the article was to evaluate the shoulders of athletes from different sports who use throwing in their practice and demonstrate its influence on injuries and functional performance. This topic addresses our interest in improving the prevention and care process for athletes and was widely discussed in the lecture given by Dr. Claudio Cardone and Dr. Felipe Franco to the Sports Professionals of Flamengo's EEOO, on May 8th, in the Club's auditorium," explains Izabel Miranda, Flamengo's Sports Science Manager. 

CUIDAR's scientific production is one of the most relevant pillars of the program, implemented since 2016 at Mais Querido under the Olympic Sports directorate, working directly with approximately 800 athletes from the club's nine sports.

"CUIDAR's scientific production confirms the preventive work carried out in the daily training routine with the aim of avoiding athletes being absent from training and competitions," celebrates Izabel.
