On Tuesday afternoon (24), in Gávea, Dr. Bruno Borges, from CUIDAR, received a plaque in gratitude for representing Mais Querido in Tokyo and a personalized shirt from the club. Dr. Bruno was called up to the Olympics as a doctor for the men's and women's beach volleyball teams. Sports science manager, Izabel Miranda, and CUIDAR medical coordinator, Claudio Cardone, participated in the tribute.

This was the doctor's seventh Olympics, having first participated in Barcelona in 1992. He commented on the differences of this edition at this unique time.

"It was a unique, positive experience. We'd never experienced anything like this in the middle of a pandemic, so I think it was a new learning experience. Going to the Olympics is always refreshing; what matters is the experience you have there, being with and working with the athletes, and getting to know other places. That's worth more than anything," he said.
