CUIDAR Panel brings together Marcelinho, Luiza Parente and Fabi Alvim in Gávea
Olympic idols spoke about sport and education for athletes, parents and professionals

Last Thursday (8) the Main Hall of the Gávea headquarters welcomed an audience of around 400 people for a very special event. Marcelinho Machado, captain of FlaBasquete, Luisa Parente, former gymnast and manager of Land Sports at Mais Querido, and Fabi Alvim, Olympic volleyball champion, led a panel for the School of Athletes, Parents and Sports Professionals at the invitation of CUIDAR (Unified Center for Identification and Development of Performance Athletes). The three stars spoke about sport and education, addressing, through their personal stories, high-performance sport in parallel with formal education.
Marcelinho Machado, five-time champion of Novo Basquete Brasil and recently graduated in Marketing from Estácio de Sá University, commented on his participation in the event.
"We spoke with Flamengo's youth athletes and their parents about the importance of academic education combined with sports. I believe this is the ideal model for developing not only professional athletes in the future but, most importantly, citizens of character and values who can transform our country," revealed FlaBasquete's number 4.
The Rubro-Negro point guard didn't miss the opportunity to thank CUIDAR for the invitation. Fabiana Alvim, who has already had the honor of wearing the Sacred Mantle, also expressed her joy at participating in the event.
"A mix of emotions for entering Gávea, remembering unforgettable moments and sharing a bit of the sporting experience with athletes, parents and coaches," said the athlete.

The Unified Center for Identification and Development of High-Performance Athletes seeks to enhance interdisciplinarity in sports by combining athlete training with collaborative work from various sports disciplines to complement each individual's development. The goal is to not only train athletes but also develop the professionals involved in developing new talent, focusing on six areas: physical preparation, technique, tactics, and intellectual, educational, and emotional development.
